WebApr 18, 2024 · Thanks Kirk - it's early days, AND I haven't had time to do much listening, AND my DEQX DSP is on its way to Sydney for repair..... so I'm running audio through my Pontus ii DAC/Denon receiver/ Willsenton R8 (an unfamiliar configuration).....but it's sounding good 😉 (I have to say that, don't I). Obviously I can't compare with my usual ... WebDEQX and Larsen loudpspeakers Life becomes more interesting when the speaker system is a Larsen 8 that are specifically designed to work with the floor and rear wall. My system is in a temporary location but DEQX did a preliminary speaker correction limiting the correction window from 20 to 800 Hz.

WebAug 31, 2024 · I used a Behringer but it had a bit of an mp3 compression-like “tizziness“ to it, even after heavy modding. The newer top of the line DEQX units sound decent as a crossover and speaker correction device, but is weak for room correction. MiniDSP performs in between those two, and the Dirac room correction functionality is a nice plus. WebAug 7, 2016 · The big issue is volume control. The only descent true-digital preamp that sends out unconverted signal I know is made by Goldmund and Accuphase. DEQX says it has volume control after D/A conversion, which somehow sounds not so audiophile. I would appreciate a real verdict form someone who has played wih DEQX.
